01Dialogue
Working closely with the designer.
daDa salad occupies the ground floor of the office that designed it. With the designer upstairs, it was easy to discuss questions and review the work on site. At ICHI, a hair salon on Awaji Island, our construction also brought the owner’s and designer’s ideas into physical form. TELAS, a hair salon in Shinsaibashi, was created by an owner with several locations who chose to work with a new designer. That designer’s practice approached us to carry out the interior construction. We value the distinct roles of design and construction, working together to create one coherent space.
02Shop drawings
From your drawings to shop drawings.
We draw shop drawings from the drawings you give us. Junctions, substrates, where one material meets another, how services run through it — we work these into drawings the site can actually build from.
- We send the shop drawings to the designer, and start fabrication and construction only after they are approved. This keeps the site from reinterpreting the design on its own. Anything the drawings do not cover, we raise as a question first.

These are only examples. Once construction starts we also produce detailed plans, services drawings and whatever else that particular site needs.
03Details
Where design meets building services.
At lambne, we built a triangular counter with rounded corners and a matching triangular pendant light. The countertop is tiled, and the light fixture is stainless steel with a vibration finish. The triangular floor plan called for careful adjustment from the very start. Because the ceiling was left exposed, we planned the light positions, wiring and the hanging of the air-conditioning units with the finished look in mind. Our attention extends from the visible surfaces to what lies behind them.
04Existing space
Working with what remains.
An architecture practice asked us to build 天六ぼんてん, a shop facing a narrow alley. We retained and painted the existing ALC walls, repaired the concrete floor where needed and applied a clear finish. Part of the ceiling remained exposed. Within a limited budget, and taking the building's condition into account, we decided what could stay and what needed work, bringing the character of the design to life.
05Management
One point of contact, trusted specialist trades.
We handle everything from estimates, scheduling and coordination with designers and clients through to construction with trusted specialist contractors. Along with the interior, we also take on kitchen and building-services work as one package. We distinguish requirements that affect building safety from fine finish details, reviewing the conditions of each site.
