Restaurant construction

Renovating an existing building can reveal conditions only discovered during demolition. At the yakiniku restaurant 㐂舌 響, we adjusted the interior to suit the old timber structure and routed ventilation ducts through limited space. Work on スタンドタイガータイガー involved removing the entire interior of an old house, then creating a double-height opening and a new staircase. The standing izakaya 三徳六味 occupies an old timber house joined to the home next door, so we carried out the interior work while keeping construction noise for the neighbours in mind. At TAKERU オタロード in Nipponbashi, Osaka, we rebuilt from scratch the interior of an older three-storey timber building that had previously housed a restaurant.

At lambne, the eye is drawn to the triangular counter and suspended light, both with rounded corners. The countertop is tiled, and the light has a stainless-steel finish. Because the space is triangular, careful adjustment was needed right from marking out the reference lines for the work. The ceiling was left exposed, so we installed the wiring and air conditioning with the finished look in mind.

At 天六ぼんてん, retaining the existing walls and concrete floor helped balance the budget with the character of the space. The 千房 refurbishment involved building the new interior without damaging the parts that were to remain. At うなぎの中庄 大阪アメリカ村店, we took out only what had to go from the existing fit-out and kept the steel-framed mezzanine as it was. Deciding what stays is as much a part of the work as deciding what changes.

Our work also includes restaurants within larger facilities, such as 担々麺 青藍 at Shinsaibashi PARCO and 毛利志満 inside Cocoshiga in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. At the gyoza restaurant ひょうたん in Sannomiya Center Plaza, Kobe, we built a nostalgic interior that blends with the character of the established shopping complex.
