ひのき酵素浴 ひのきばこ

We built ひのき酵素浴 ひのきばこ from a bare shell. Throughout the interior work, consideration for the landlord living upstairs was an important part of the project. An enzyme bath uses heat generated by fermentation, so the work required specialist construction to achieve the room's necessary airtightness. Studying these particular conditions and working through the details gave us valuable experience that informed later projects. This was also the owner's first venture into this type of business. We held repeated discussions with the owner and designer about circulation and ease of use, developing the shop together with the people who would actually use it. The work spanned the New Year period. The time spent consulting with the designer and owner and bringing the space together made this a particularly memorable project.
