ANTEVORTE

This project was handled by our representative while at a previous employer.

The curved ceiling is the focal point of ANTEVORTE. We still remember working through how to assemble the supporting framework and form the curve. The difficult part was translating the curved finishing materials into drawings, discussing them with the joinery workshop and giving them form. The floor below is a café that is open during the day, so we took care as we worked to keep construction noise and odours from reaching it. On the wall at the far end, a unique installation uses Coca-Cola bottles filled with beads to reveal an image of Marilyn Monroe. The ceiling's curves and the wall art give this space its distinctive character.
